The core of Earzbook

Your listening history, handed to an agent you own.

Earzbook plugs into OpenClaw two ways — both installed with a single command from the app’s pairing screen.

One command to pair

The app’s pairing screen generates a setup command that registers both the MCP server and the sidecar. That’s the whole install.

$curl -fsSL https://earzbook.com/openclaw.sh | bash
or
$npm i -g @earzbook/openclaw && earzbook-openclaw

An MCP server that reads your listening data

Earzbook exposes governed tools your OpenClaw agent can call on demand.

  • search_recordings“Have I ever heard about X?” — keyword search across every transcript.
  • get_relevant_paragraphsSemantic search — find passages by meaning, not just keywords.
  • recent_recordings“Catch me up” on everything from the last 24 hours.
  • list_recordings_by_dateBrowse what you heard on a day, a week, or a range.
  • get_recordingPull the full transcription of one day’s listening.
  • get_themed_summaryYour listening theme breakdown, with each theme’s share.
  • get_progress_chartYour listening growth over time, per theme.
  • get_theme_detailsDeep-dive one theme — insights, interests, and sources.

Plus get_current_datetime, so answers always anchor to the real date.

A sidecar that runs on your machine

The @earzbook/openclaw sidecar bridges the app to a locally-running OpenClaw agent, so you can chat with it straight from your phone — your machine, your AI keys. Chat trajectories never leave your disk.

  • Chat with your local agent from the Earzbook app
  • Runs on your own machine and your own AI keys
  • Conversations stored locally — no server copy

Tap once. It listens. Your agent answers.

No setup rituals, no copy-paste. Three steps from sound to insight.

  1. 01

    Capture

One tap from any screen. On Android, Earzbook captures your device’s audio; in Chrome, it captures the current tab. It keeps running in the background.

  2. 02

    Transcribe, live

Streams words as they’re spoken — sub-second partials that lock into finals as they stabilize. Auto-detects across 99 languages.

  3. 03

    Ask anything

Your listening history becomes data. Your own OpenClaw agent reads it on demand — “what did I hear about X,” “summarize today’s lecture,” “pull the action items.”

Built to actually keep up with you.

The engine, the intelligence, and the guarantees — in one app and one extension.

True real-time

Streaming transcription: partials appear as you speak, finals lock as the words stabilize.

99 languages, auto-detected

No language picker required. It figures out what it’s hearing, and switches mid-stream.

One tap, always on

Start and stop from any screen. Earzbook keeps transcribing in the background.

Knowledge Radar & Timeline

See the breadth of what you take in, and how it grows over time.

Semantic search

Ask by meaning, not just keywords — “what did I hear about diffusion models?”

Encrypted by design

Per-user envelope encryption means a database breach reads nothing of yours.

Your agent, your machine

OpenClaw runs locally, on your own AI keys — your agent conversations never leave your machine.

One memory. Endless ways to use it.

Whatever you listen to becomes something you can query, summarize, and act on.

Knowledge Timeline

Privacy

Your listening is yours. Cryptographically.

Not a promise on a page — guarantees built into how the product works.

Envelope-encrypted transcripts

Every user’s data is sealed with AES-256-GCM, and the key is wrapped in Google Cloud KMS. A database or vector-store breach reads nothing.

Runs on your machine

Your OpenClaw agent chat runs locally, on your own AI keys — conversations never leave your disk. Transcript text is separately sent to Anthropic for knowledge processing.

True delete

Deleting your account (after a 14-day grace period) destroys your per-user key — content it protected can never be decrypted again, not even by us.

We never sell your listening data to advertisers or third parties.

Install Earzbook, tap record, and ask your agent what you listened.

What exactly does Earzbook record?
In Chrome, it captures the audio of the specific browser tab you are recording — not your microphone, not your screen, and not your system audio. On Android, it records the device audio you choose to capture. Recording only ever starts from a deliberate action: clicking the toolbar icon, pressing play, or using the keyboard shortcut.
Is my audio stored anywhere?
No. Raw audio is processed transiently to produce the transcript and is never saved — there is no audio field and no upload path. Only the transcript text is stored, organised by your device’s local calendar day.
Is Earzbook free?
Earzbook is a paid service with a free allowance. Recording time is sold as prepaid credits measured in seconds — one credit is 3,600 seconds (one hour). New accounts get a one-time, non-recurring 30-minute allowance. Checkout is web-only and handled by Razorpay.
Is there an iOS app?
Not today. Earzbook ships as a Chrome extension (Google Chrome specifically — not Firefox, Safari or Edge) and an Android app.
Do I need an account?
Yes — a free Earzbook account, created with Google sign-in or an emailed one-time code. Your transcripts are tied to that account so your own AI agent can read them back.
Is my data end-to-end encrypted?
No, and we would rather say so plainly: this is strong encryption at rest, not end-to-end. Each user’s data is sealed with AES-256-GCM under a key wrapped in Google Cloud KMS, so a database or vector-store breach reads nothing. But our servers do decrypt content in memory to show it to you and to generate your insights.
Does my transcript get sent to an AI company?
Your OpenClaw agent runs on your own machine with your own AI keys, and those chat conversations never leave your disk. Separately, transcript text is sent to Anthropic to generate knowledge insights — themes, interest labels and summaries. Anthropic is a named subprocessor in our Privacy Policy.
What happens when I delete something?
Permanently deleting a recording removes its transcript, embedding vectors, analytics and paragraph index. Deleting your whole account additionally destroys your per-user encryption key after a 14-day grace period, after which content encrypted under it can never be decrypted again — including by us.
What is OpenClaw, and do I have to use it?
OpenClaw is a third-party AI agent you install and run on your own computer; it is not hosted by us. Earzbook works on its own for live transcription, but pairing an agent is what lets you ask questions across everything you have heard. It installs with a single command from the app’s pairing screen.
Which languages does it support?
About 99, detected automatically. There is no language picker — it identifies what it is hearing and can switch mid-stream.
